Content Use and Fan Creation Policy
TL;DR
Our work is ours. We made it, we worked hard for it. We love that you love it (we hope), if you make fan creations, please make them non-commercial, and slap our disclaimer and attribution (at the bottom) somewhere your fans can see it.
If you want to play our game on Twitch, we have no problem with you running ads. Go for it, have fun. Don’t put our work behind a paywall. Want a commercial license? You’ve got to talk to us.

Monetize videos with platform ads, donations, bits.
Create and share original fan art, stories, and comics.
Run fan blogs, podcasts, and discussion websites about the content.
Make and wear cosplay costumes for personal use and non-commercial events.
Share all fan content freely without access restrictions.

1. Introduction: The Spirit of the Policy
Here at Blade and Banter Media Corp, we are consistently thrilled by the passion and creativity of our community. We want to encourage you to create and share your own works inspired by our intellectual property (IP).
This policy outlines how you can use our games and game footage, characters, art, music, and other IP to create fan content ("Creations"). Our goal is to foster a vibrant, respectful community. While we have an edge, we believe in fair play.
This policy is designed to protect both your creative freedom and our hard work.
2. What You Can Do (Grant of License)
On the condition that you follow the rules below, Blade and Banter Media Corp grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to create and share your non-commercial Creations based on our IP.
Permitted non-commercial activities include:
Streaming and Videos: Creating and sharing gameplay footage, "Let's Plays," walkthroughs, and reviews on digital platforms like YouTube and Twitch.
Fan Art and Fiction: Creating and sharing original artwork, stories, and comics inspired by our characters and worlds on community sites and social media.
Discussion and Analysis: Hosting podcasts, blogs, or fan sites dedicated to discussing our games and lore.
Cosplay: Creating and wearing costumes based on our characters for personal use and non-commercial events.
Make use of our Fan Kit: Use the free Fan Content Kit logo, attribution sticker, streaming pack & other assets, coming soon.
3. What You Cannot Do (Restrictions)
Your Creations must remain respectful and cannot harm Blade and Banter Media Corp or our community. The following actions are strictly prohibited:
Commercial Exploitation: You may not sell or license your Creations for any form of payment, or use our IP on physical merchandise (like t-shirts or posters) without a separate, explicit written license from us. Interested Parties Inquire Here
Asset Ripping and Misuse: You may not reverse-engineer our game code, data-mine assets (models, music, art), or use our assets in other games, software, or third-party products.
Inappropriate Content: Your Creations may not be obscene, illegal, racist, sexist, homophobic, defamatory, or otherwise offensive. We expect our fan community to uphold our core values and avoid creating content that is overtly controversial or harmful.
False Endorsement: You may not state or imply that your Creation is an official Blade and Banter product or is endorsed, sponsored, or approved by us. Using our official logos is not permitted without prior written consent. Instead, please use our Fan Content Kit, coming soon.
Locking Content: You cannot require payment, surveys, or subscriptions for others to access your Creation. All fan content must be freely available to the community.
4. Rules for Monetization
We understand that creators often rely on monetization to support their work. We want to be clear about what is and isn't acceptable.
Permitted Monetization: You are permitted to monetize your video content through passive advertising on platforms like YouTube and Twitch, or accept voluntary donations, as long as the content itself is not locked behind a paywall.
Prohibited Monetization: You may not charge for access to your Creations. This includes putting content behind a Patreon paywall, charging a subscription fee for access, or selling digital or physical versions of your work.
Affiliate Program: If you would like to promote Blade and Banter Media Corp products on your content, please consider joining our Affiliate Program.
5. Required Disclaimers and Notices
To ensure clarity for the entire community, you must include the following disclaimer in a clear and visible location with any Creation you share. This can be in a video or social media description, a website footer, or a README file.
"[Title of Your Creation] is an unofficial fan work created under Blade and Banter Media Corp's Fan Content Policy. Portions of the materials used are the property of Blade and Banter Media Corp. ©Blade and Banter Media Corp 2025. This work is not approved or endorsed by Blade and Banter Media Corp."
You should also include a link to this policy so others can easily find it.
6. Consequences and Reservation of Rights
Violation of this policy may result in a request to take down your Creation. We reserve the right to revoke the license granted in this policy at our sole discretion, for any reason, without notice.
Furthermore, by creating fan works based on our IP, you grant Blade and Banter Media Corp a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your Creation in any media without any obligation to you. We strive to attribute all Creations to their appropriate Creator. This allows us to highlight and share community work without legal complications.
This does not transfer ownership of your original ideas to us, but it protects and allows us to celebrate our community's creativity.
